Featured Artist

Artist Blend Killough poses in front of some of her tiny masterpieces. Blenda specializes in egg art. She is just one of the many talented artists who create and display their work at Amarillo's Galleries at Sunset.
We met Blenda at the "First Friday Art Walk" It's an open house/meet-and-greet with the artists in residence at the old Sunset Center. The center has been reinvented as an artist community. There you can find painting of all styles, photography, sculpture and even a live theatre.
The First Friday event features live music, wine, and hors d'oeurves all for free. The next Art Walk will be Friday, December 5.

"FAUST"

Presented by The Amarillo Repertory Theatre
This is an original script by playwright Sirc Michaels, based on the classic works of Marlowe and Goethe.
The Amarillo Repertory Theatre is focused on working with performing artists here in Amarillo and abroad to create a home for alternative arts here in the Texas Panhandle, as well as a center for producing new works by Panhandle playwrights.
‘FAUST’ is the classic story about a man who sells his soul to the devil for a chance to relive his youth – only to realize the folly of his actions all too late. The show will be presented at The Amarillo Repertory Theatre, located at Sunset Center on Plains Blvd, on Halloween night at 8pm. The show will also run the first two weekends of November, Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm. Admission is. There are also discounts for group rates. Tickets are available now at The Music Box, Outstanding Amarillo, or can be purchased at the box office on the days of the show.
